Avionics Technology
Today’s modern aircraft are highly dependent upon sophisticated electronics equipment. The Avionics Technology program moves from teaching you a basic knowledge of electronic theory to a working knowledge of electronics equipment and components. Beyond initial instruction in those areas, you will receive extensive hands-on training with aviation electronics equipment such as communication and navigation radios, weather radars, autopilots, on-board computers, transponders, and more. A combination of theory and laboratory course work is designed to develop technical and professional knowledge and build skills required in contemporary avionics repair facilities. Students may complete the degree in 24 months.
