How to Apply
These steps pertain to students attending public schools. For information regarding students who are homeschooled, please visit the page for Parents.
- Apply for admission to ESCC. You will be asked to create an account to start a new application. Choose High School Dual Enrollment as your student type.
- Within two days, you will receive an acceptance email with your ESCC student number (A012345678). This number will be required to complete the Statement of Eligibility.
- Complete the initial portion of the Statement of Eligibility. It will be sent to your school counselor for approval.
- Be on the lookout for an email from your school counselor. If you do not receive one within one to two days, meet with your high school counselor to discuss dual enrollment opportunities at your school.
- The ESCC Dual Enrollment office will reach out to your school counselor to request your official transcript, placement scores (if required), and completed Statement of Eligibility. All required forms must be received for you to be placed in your requested classes.
- Once your registration has been completed, the Dual Enrollment office will be in touch via your new alabama.edu email with registration information.

Cost
For the 2024 – 2025 school year, ESCC is fortunate to be able to fully fund the tuition, fees and book rentals for all Dual Enrollment students, made possible by the Workforce Develop Grant (awarded annually). Students who fail or withdraw from a course will be responsible for paying the tuition, fees, and book rentals should they decide to retake that course.
