Transfer of Credit Policies and Articulation Agreements
Enterprise State Community College’s policies regarding general principles for the transfer of credit are outlined in the College Catalog and Student Handbook. Students or prospective students with questions concerning the transfer of credit may contact the Associate Dean of Students. Coursework transferred or accepted for credit toward an undergraduate program must represent collegiate course work relevant to the formal award. Course content and level of instruction must result in student competencies at least equivalent to those of students enrolled in College undergraduate formal award programs. In assessing and documenting equivalent learning and qualified faculty members, the College may use recognized guides that aid in the evaluation for credit. Such guides include those published by the American Council on Education, the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, and the National Association of Foreign Student Affairs.
The Alabama Articulation Program
The Alabama Articulation Program (called Alabama Transfers) is a computerized articulation and transfer planning system designed to inform students who attend Alabama Community Colleges about degree requirements, course equivalents, and other transfer information pertaining to specific majors at each state-funded four-year institution. Enterprise State Community College students planning to transfer to an Alabama public senior institution must print and retain the Articulation Guide for their major along with the transfer institution’s Area V courses. The guide and Area V course listing must be submitted to the senior institution upon transfer. Students who are interested in receiving a Alabama Transfers Guide should visit the Alabama Transfers website. Information is provided in the College Catalog and Student Handbook.
