Community Health Worker
This comprehensive course, “Community Health Worker Course,” is designed for individuals passionate about improving public health and making a significant impact within their communities. Ideal candidates include those interested in pursuing a career in public health, current healthcare professionals seeking to expand their knowledge and skills in community health, volunteers aiming to make a difference in public health, and individuals from communities experiencing health disparities who wish to advocate for better health outcomes.
Skills for Success
Skills for Success delivers rapid, industry-recognized non-credit training at no cost to participants. A unique feature of Skills for Success training is how quickly it can be completed. Part of the training is offered online, with self-paced interactive learning. Upon completing the online portion of the course, students then complete hands-on training with qualified instructors at any of the 24 community colleges around the state. The in-person labs simulate real work experience and test students for mastery of skills. Skills for Success training is offered through the ACCS Innovation Center, a division of the Alabama Community College System.
