How Transfers work at ESCC
1. Apply for Admission
Apply for Admissions to the University that you are planning to transfer to
2. Check for Scholarships
Apply for Scholarships (Check the university’s website for Transfer Scholarship opportunities)
3. Apply for Financial Aid
Apply for Financial Aid (Make sure that you send it to all schools that you are considering transferring to)
4. Send Your Transcripts
Request for your transcript to be sent from ESCC. Also, send your transcripts from any other colleges that you have attended.
5. Consider Housing Arrangements
Apply for housing or look for lodging options if you will be moving away when you transfer. Many universities have housing options and usually you must apply early, so that you can reserve a good spot.
6. Meet with your Advisor at the University
For many universities, you have the opportunity to begin meeting with advisors from the university as early as your Freshman year. This is to ensure that you are taking the correct courses for when you transfer from ESCC. Some schools even offer a Transfer Orientation in the spring of your sophomore year, giving you a chance to visit campus and register for classes before they fill up.
7. Check Medical Requirements
Check to see if the university has a Medical History and Immunization Records requirement.
