Arrest made in Enterprise State burglary

Branden J. Emerson, 30, has been arrested for the burglary of various items totaling approximately $700 from Enterprise State Community College’s athletic facilities.
On Monday, July 6, Campus Police issued a timely warning of the incident, calling for information from the public. According to the report, in the early afternoon of Friday, July 3, an “unknown white male” unlawfully entered various athletic facilities and placing collected items in a “duffel-type” bag. Campus Police provided a description of the suspect and the vehicle used. The incident was reported on July 5.
Emerson was arrested on Tuesday, July 7, by Enterprise State Community College Campus Police.
Campus Police Chief Jeffery Spence thanked the community and local first responders for their assistance in identifying the suspect.
“Thank you to Fort Rucker’s Criminal Investigation Division and the Law Enforcement Division of the Directorate of Public Safety for their assistance in this case,” he said. “We would also like to thank our community for their help in providing information in relation to this incident.”
