Angel House is a non-profit organization that works with families in Alabama who have been affected by suicide & homicide and victims of violent crime. Services they provide include:

Emergency Rental Assistance Alabama
Emergency Rental Assistance Alabama is here to help. Emergency funds are available to help Alabama renters pay rent and utility bills (including past due rent and utilities). This program is administered through the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
ERA Alabama provides assistance to all counties and jurisdictions with the exception of Baldwin County, Jefferson County, Madison County, Montgomery County, Tuscaloosa County, City of Birmingham, & the City of Huntsville.

Mortgage Assistance Alabama
Mortgage Assistance Alabama is now open for applications. Applications are accepted Monday through Friday. To shorten wait time and to ensure the prompt handling of applications, the application portal may be periodically closed in order to allow applications to be processed. A portal reopening date will be posted on the homepage once those applications have been processed. Applications may be completed online, over the phone with a call center representative, or by mail.
