June 27, 2025 | ESCC
Miss ESCC 2024-25 Madison Bassett will be representing Enterprise State Community College and the Wiregrass in the Miss Camellia State Teen Volunteer Pageant.
Miss Camellia State Teen Volunteer is a title awarded as part of the Miss Alabama Volunteer Scholarship Pageant, which is a statewide, service-oriented program that seeks to empower young women through education and opportunities.
According to the pageant’s website, the goal of the Miss Alabama Volunteer Pageant is “to also be vital to the education of the young women in our state through awarding cash and in-kind scholarship to contestants who compete” in the pageant.
In addition to the Miss Camellia State Teen Volunteer Pageant, participants will also be competing for the Miss Alabama Volunteer, Miss Alabama Teen Volunteer, and the Miss Camellia State Volunteer titles.
“I’m nervous but also excited for this opportunity,” Basset said, who will be competing in Interview, Fitness, and Evening Gown as part of the pageant. “It feels surreal to be a part of something this big, but I’m beyond grateful. Getting to represent my school and community means the world to me, and I hope to make everyone proud.”
Bassett is a sophomore at Enterprise State. In addition to representing the College as Miss ESCC, she serves as an ESCC Ambassador, which represents the student body at community and college events. She is also an active member of the ESCC Diamond Dolls. After completing her degree at ESCC, she plans to transfer to Troy University to study Broadcast Journalism.
She was crowned Miss ESCC on October 1, 2024.
Bassett graduated from Zion Chapel High School in 2024, where she also served as Miss Zion Chapel from 2023-2024. While in high school, she also served as president of the Astra Club of Jack in 2023, and she continues to volunteer with her church.
The Miss Alabama Volunteer 2026 Pageant, including the Miss Camellia State Teen Volunteer Pageant, will be held July 24-26 at the Oxford Performing Arts Center.
