September 2, 2025 | ESCC
On Thursday, October 16, “Dancing for Scholarships” is back, and the stage is set for stars and pros to wow us with their moves.
“Dancing for Scholarships” is an annual event hosted by the Enterprise State Community College Foundation that showcases the talents of Wiregrass pros and stars. Last year, the event helped raise over $70,000 in funds used for ESCC Foundation scholarships. Currently, scholarships offered through the ESCC Foundation total around $100,000.
This year, six area stars and their dancing partners will compete for either the People’s Choice or Judges’ Choice Trophies. To help mark the 60th year of the College, stars and pros will have a special connection to the College.
Participants this year are:
- O’Neal Boswell, ESCC alum and owner of Sam Boswell Automotive Group, dancing with Amber Thomas, EHS instructor who attended high school classes on ESCC’s campus and completed a summer term
- Kelly Cobb, superintendent of Coffee County Schools and ESCC alum, dancing with Joe Freeman, ESCC alum and owner of Total Sight and Sound
