Student Government Association
The SGA is composed of four officers, seven sophomore senators, and seven freshman senators. All members of the SGA are elected by the student body. The purposes of the SGA are to provide liaison between students and the faculty and administration, to promote social and cultural opportunities for students, and to approve and charter all organizations which function on the campus.
THE INTERCLUB COUNCIL This is a branch organization of the SGA. Organized in the fall of 1968, the purpose is to aid the SGA in coordinating club activities. The Interclub Council promotes communication among campus organizations and coordinates projects of mutual benefit and interest. Membership in the Interclub Council consists of one representative chosen by each campus organization. The SGA vice president serves as president of the Council and other officers are elected by the Council.
